1–3. On the formula, see Introduction IV.3.F.d. The abbreviation mark here used for κατάκειται is elsehwere used for κατά (Avi-Yonah 1940, 74).

3–5. The name Stephanos is also attested in Early Byzantine inscriptions of Crimea - V 61, from Cherson.
