Commentary

The inscription was published without an illustration. Judging from the fragments, it is a petition, but nothing more concrete can be said about it. Inscriptions on marble are known at Mangup during the era of Theodoro (V 178 and V 179). On the formula, see Introduction IV.3.E.b.
