The graffito is more likely to be the name of a producer or merchant, less likely of an owner. The name Ἡρᾶς is attested as a stamp of the eponym Baton and the fabricant Heras in Istria: Thasian amphora handle, ca. 356-343 BC. Θασι(․ν). Βά|τ[ω]|ν. Ἡρᾶ|ς. Found in Histria, published: Histria VIII,1 88, Our graffito could be also compared to the name inscribed on an amphora from Beliaus (N. Black Sea), late IV/early III cent. BCE, SEG 49:1026,2 (Arkheolohiia (1999.1) pp. 177-183). There are two graffiti on this amphora: one is graffito on the rim: ΨΔ (quantity mark?), another graffito below the rim: Ἡρᾶς (producer, merchant, or owner?).
The last but least likely option is that we have a mark of divine property of Hera or Herakles.
